Mirror Forge is a game inspired by Silent Hill and Stranger Things. Like typical horror games, it features chase scenarios in a semi-open world environment. It boasts an immersive storyline, where your choice matters, and going through mirrors to traverse between dimensions. Note, however, that the game is still in the demo stage so expect limited content.

What is Mirror Forge?

The story of Mirror Forge places you in the unlucky footwear of Thomas Jackson. Jackson lived a troubled life after his drunk driving incident two years in the past resulted in his girlfriend's coma and the loss of their child. As if the past is not enough, he lost his job because of the pandemic. Unable to take it any longer, Jackson tried to commit suicide. Luckily he survived.

However, this is when the madness started. Strange events begin to occur in the apartment. Surreal voices, scratching on the wall, and even footsteps in the middle of the night. Little did he know that he would be thrust into different dark realms where horrifying things abound. These entities feed on people's fears, twisting reality to face people with their inner demons.

The game is set in several varying environments that start from Jackson's apartment and will span to open towns, ancient houses, and factories. You will be playing defenseless, although you can pick up elements and interact with your surroundings. As mentioned, you will solve puzzles, both physical and platforming. Note, however, that dying is a huge part of the game. Solve the puzzle while avoiding the entities that roam everywhere.

Should you play it?

Overall, Mirror Forge is a must-play. The game features a surreal and immersive story that will have you at the edge of your seat. And if that is not enough, some puzzles need solving, all while you run from terrifying creatures that haunt you. Keep in mind, though, that the game comes with content that may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy.
